Making one person in every family digitally literate is one of the integral components of the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Digital India’. PRADHAN MANTRI DIGITAL SAKSHARTA ABHIYAN (PMDISHA )envisages provision of digital literacy training to 52.5 Lakh persons, one in every eligible household of the country. Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and authorized ration dealers have also been included in the scheme. The objective is to impart basic ICT skills which would enable the citizen to use IT and related applications and participate actively in the democratic process and further enhance opportunities for their livelihood.

• Level 1: 1. For SC/ ST/ BPL households, no training fee payable 2. For General and OBC candidates, course fee of Rs. 125 applicable |
• Level 2 – Basics of Digital Literacy: Training on IT Literacy at Higher Level including eGovernance Services being offered to the citizens |
• Level 2: 40 Hours (Minimum 20 Days and Maximum 60 Days) |
• Level 2: 1. For SC/ ST/ BPL households, no training fee payable 2. For General and OBC candidates, course fee of Rs. 250 applicable |
Eligibility Criteria:
Only one person from an IT illiterate family will be eligible to participate under this scheme.
• Level 1: Illiterate and up to 7th standard pass
• Level 2: At least 8th standard pass
Age: 14 to 60 years at the time of registration (both the years inclusive)
